Since many years Dr Margrit Meier fosters active research collaborations with team members of The Rehabilitation Engineering Research Program (RERP) of Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Health Care System., Minneapolis, USA. RERP’s primary focus is on the design and evaluation of innovative rehabilitation technologies.

Northwestern University Prosthetic-Orthotic Center (NUPOC) is one of the largest and oldest educational centres in prosthetics and orthotics. Dr Margrit Meier maintains since many years collaborative links with NUPOC in educational and clinic-related research matters within the field of technical rehabilitation.
